    Summary

Since 1977 Humana People to People has supported development in the poor regions of the world. We started out in Southern Africa, and has since then started projects in other parts of Arica, India, Asia, South America and Central America. Our projects include Child Aid, Education, agriculture, environment protection, health care and others. Humana People to People is raising funds from international donors as well as raising funds by collecting and recycling clothes. We are fighting with the poor to enable them to live a full and dignified life, where the individual is in the center, while organizing many people together, so that the effect of the work and projects are maximized. As example of projects is TCE/TCM, which is running in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola, Congo, Botswana, South Africa, India and China. The projects are mobilizing people to take charge of their own life with regards to HIV/AIDS infection. This is centered around each individual, that has to take responsibility for his or hers own status and make sure not pass it on to others or receiver the infection, by practicing safe sex. There is a lot more to be told about how this project is organized and what the results are. You can read more about this project and other projects on the web-site of Humana People to People: humana.org
